External Events - Don't Let Them Hold You

Don’t let external events affect your joy..
Meaning, don’t let a bad day at work ruin the wonderful time you have with your family at home..
Or vice-a-versa!!

We tend to let our everyday events affect our internal joy, which in turn affects our eternal happiness!!
Think about it…………

Okay, stop thinking.. Your thinking to hard.. It’s simple..
Remember the breath of life that HE gave you today and your loved ones that surround you!!
Now if that is not something to be joyful about everyday, then I don’t know what is!!

Life is to short to drown in sorrow, but life is also inevitable without sorrow..
Life is like two train tracks.. One joy and the other sorrow..
You can’t ride one without riding the other, but you have to coast them both out together..
Make the choice not to drown.. Let HIM carry you!!

Remember.. HE’s got your back.. Always!!
May God Bless You All J

Support, and the Gods Honest Truth (Partners Edition)

We all have different kinds of partners throughout our lives...
Romantic, work, church, friendship, family, parent/child...

Okay.. Okay..
You may not look at the last one as a partnership, but I do!!

Let me elaborate...

Out of all these different kinds of partnerships what do you hope to gain out of one or more? I speak for myself when I say, my prays are that I will build relationships with my surrounding partners in hopes of...
Mutual support and the gods honest truth...
I had one of those great moments today with a friend!!
HE placed her in my life to show me how much HE loves me,
and HE has done the same for you...
You just have to open your eyes/ears and focus!!
HE is our parent and we are HIS children...
We have a partnership with HIM...
HE is always there to support us,
but HE is also always there to tell us the gods honest truth...
And HE has placed special people in lives to deliver HIS little messages!!
May God Bless You All ;)

Email I received today... So I wanted to share

WHAT IF THERE ISN'T ANYMORE
One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning,
in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore".
No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together,
no more phone calls just to chat,
  no more "just one minute."

Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes
away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say "I love you."
So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it,
fix it when it's broken, and heal it when it's sick.

This is true for marriage...
And old cars...
And children with bad report cards…
And dogs with bad hips…
And aging parents and grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

   Some things we keep…
Like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce.
There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.
Life is important, like people we know who are special…
And so, we keep them close!

I received this from someone who thought I was a “keeper”!
Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way...
Now it's your turn to send this to all those people who are "keepers" in your life, including the person who sent it, if you feel that way.
Suppose one morning you never wake up,
do all your friends know you love them?

Let every one of your friends know you love them.
Even if you think they don't love you back.
And just in case I'm gone tomorrow:
  I LOVE YA!!!

Live today because tomorrow is not promised!!!

Precious Moments - Remember

I have to tell you all a funny story.. Well, I think it’s pretty darn funny and cute!!
My 3 year old son has long hair…
He knows when mama says “shower time” that that means his hair is getting washed/combed.
Well, this past Monday was shower time!!
He cried, and cried, and cried…
I told him all that was not necessary because he was getting his hair washed…
He still proceeded to cry, even while in the shower.
After we were all done, and he had his pj’s on…
He stood in between my legs, wrapped his little arms around my neck
and in the most pitiful voice ever said,
“I LOVE YOU MOMMY”!!
I chuckled within and responded, “Mommy loves you too”!!
At that moment, I didn’t let go of him…
I simple enjoyed that moment with his little arms wrapped around me,
and his sweet little voice echoing in my head.
The world stood still for what felt like forever, and I THANKED HIM for that precious moment J
Today’s assignment: Think of a precious moment you had with someone that is/was special to you…
After that thought make sure you thank HIM for those special memories!!

May God Bless You All J

Your Heart Is Delicate

Proverbs 4:23

Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.

The heart can sometimes be a touchy subject..
We all at one time or another have had someone treat us poorly,
but what we do with that afterwards is on us.
If we, dwell in the sorrow that the individual has brought us then our heart seems to ache…
If we, give it all to HIM then our heart seems to still be dancing… And dancing!!
Treat your heart just like you would treat a newborn…
Don’t let anything harmful impact it or destroy it…
“For from it flow the springs of LIFE!!”
May God Bless You All J

Prioritizes

Luke 10:41-42

41 But the Lord answered and said to her,
“Martha, Martha,
you are worried and bothered about so many things;
42 but only one thing is necessary,
for Mary has chosen the good part,
which shall not be taken away from her.”

Where are you at?
What means the world to you?
What will you break your neck for?
I have been one of those people that has to make sure everything is in place…
On top of that, I am a people pleaser.
I want to make everyone happy…
But, sometimes that just isn’t important.
We sometimes forget who is the most important…
Take a wild guess on who I’m referring to!!
HA.. You guessed it.. HIM!!
Let’s practice on putting HIM 1st, and remembering HIS great power/presence!!
May God Bless You All J
